Chhattisgarh is one of the twenty-eight states of India. It is the ninth largest state by land and the seventeenth most populous state in India. It is situated in India’s Central region. Chhαttisgarh shares borders with Uttar Pradesh to the northMadhya Pradesh to the northwestJharkhand to the northeastMaharashtra to the southwestOdisha to the east, and Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to the south.

Initially, Chhαttisgarh was part of Madhya Pradesh. It became a state on November 1, 2000. Now, Chhαttisgarh is one of the fastest-developing states in India.
