GENERAL INTRODUCTION OF GOA

Goa is one of the twenty-eight states of India. It is the smallest state by land and the fourth smallest populous state in India. It is situated on India’s southwestern coast. Goα shares borders with Maharashtra to the northKarnataka to the east and south, and the Arabian sea to the west.

Initially, it was a part of the Union territory of Goα, Daman, and Diu. Goa became the 25th state of India on May 30, 1987.

Goα has the highest GDP per capita among all Indian states. Large numbers of international and domestic tourists visit Goα each year because of its white sand beaches, active night life and World Heritage-listed architecture. Goα also has rich flora and fauna because it lies on the Western Ghats range.
