GENERAL INTRODUCTION OF KARNATAKA

It is situated in India’s southwestern region. It is one of the twenty-eight states of India. It is the sixth largest state by land and the eighth most populous state in India. It shares borders with Goa to the northwestMaharashtra to the northTelangana to the northeast, Andhra Pradesh to the eastTamil Nadu to the southeastKerala to the south and Arabian Sea to the west.

The state of Karnαtaka was formerly known as Mysore. The name of Mysore was changed to Karnataka on November 1,1973. It is produced 85% of raw silk in the country. It’s sandal soap and sandal oil are well-known in world markets.

Mysore is famous for the Dasara festival during September-October. Gersoppa (Jog falls) of Karnataka is world famous and is the highest waterfall in India. It leads the nation in information technology and biotechnology. Bangalore is known as the Silicon Valley of India.
